Description

The design is based on emphasizing the mission that Halkbank has assumed since its establishment. The bank's support to small business owners and the middle class, from lobbies to work areas, where institutions establish the first visual-communication with the public and welcome their guests, and the resulting developing country's economy and production focus are depicted in the design. This description is designed in parallel with the interpretation of the design concept created on the basis of functionality and simplicity. The stone texture that forms a solid foundation in the space and strengthens the small tradesmen with its support expresses Halkbank, while the bronze coating rising and valued by rising above it depicts the small tradesmen and the middle class. Choosing the metal as bronze indicates a precious metal, while on the other hand, it was determined in terms of harmony with modern design.

The lobby aims to create a monumental interior space in terms of its design. Another aim is to perceive the lobby as clearly as possible from the outside area, and the fact that the background of the lobby is actually a facade in this part of the building, since the building shell in this area is as transparent as possible, it is accepted as the main element of the design. It has been ensured that the perception of this wall is maximized both at the entrance and from the outside area, and is a visual panel that explains the main philosophy of Halkbank. The staff lobby is especially designed to reflect both the corporate discipline and dynamism at the maximum, since it is the first area where people working in the building come into contact with their workplaces and that the incoming guests and company officials enter under the corporate roof for the first time. However, this space, rather than a lobby, was conceived as an open exhibition area, and a place where some of the artworks in the archive of the institution are exhibite. This way, they introduce these works to both the visitors and the employees of the institution.

The areas to be used for individual work areas and online meetings and meetings with fewer participants are of great importance, especially considering the pandemic period we are in. The work stations placed on a linear line are positioned in a way to receive the light from the inner corridor and the light coming from the exterior in the most efficient way. The design of the work-stations is stated in detail under the heading of pandemic design; It is the system that makes it possible to use the system that is blown from above, sucked from the floor raised from below with laminal flow, and cleaned and blown again, and as another precaution, the table system and ultra violet lamps that kill viruses and bacteria on the seats with UV rays, outside of working hours. In order to in- stall this system, a panel with a blowing diffuser and UV lamps on both sides of this dif- fuser was designed in the Workstation areas used as open ceilings. In order to increase the efficiency of this system, which prevents droplet passage through the respiratory tract at the table sitting opposite to each other, the level of this panel should be reduced.

Executive floors are designed as floors starting from the 42nd floor to the 45th floor. The 42nd floor, where the board of directors and the chairman are located, and the 43rd floor, which is the general manager floor, are defined by a lobby that expands from the exit point from the elevator hall. Lobbies are completely within the field of vision and control of the assistants. The 43rd floor, which is the headquarters floor, creates a lobby defined by a showcase wall where the artworks in the bank archive are exhibited, just like the ground floor personnel lobby, and a total of three separate waiting areas, one open and two closed, form a focal point.

The 44th floor, designed as the boardroom meeting room floor, is planned as the most prestigious meeting room of the complex. This floor, where the management decisions of the institution are taken, is designed as a management-only volume consisting of the main hall, foyer-lounge, simultaneous translation and kitchen units. The fixed and rooted structure of the board of directors is depicted with a fixed and stable table design instead of a moving table.
