Description
The mixed-use complex, designed on a 19.000 sqm of area consists of residential and commercial units. Since being situated in the crowded business area, it is aimed to have a buffer zone between the living space and the noisiest region of the vicinity. The concept is formed by hanging different masses to a continious virtual belt, begins with a wide eaves of the Northeast edge and passes along the south direction, terminated another eaves sweeping in North-East direction. The spaces gained from nat- ural slope, are planned as social interaction zones. In that way, this social facility turns into a central square for housing. The culture of "cumba" com- ing from the vernacular architecture is modern- ized and integrated in the design as sliding masses both pozitive and negative directions towards the skin of structures. To give a referance to structures in the neighborhood, high-rise blocks divided into same proportion of neighbour buildings.

By blocking of the stressed life of the city as leaving that outside and to set a peaceful and warm life inside are the main goals of the design. Therefore organic materials such as natural stone, wood and glass are used in design and it is aimed that the skin of buildings are assumed as a part of stone retaining walls.
A multi-purpose sport area is designed on the South-West part of the parcel in order to protect buildings from noise. pollution caused by sport area. Sliding masses both positive and negative directions towards the skin of facades create projections which called "cumba" in vernacular architecture. By designing of the terraces as setbacks, an elegant flow view from balconies towards to green nature outside is provided.
