Description
The intersection of roads at a roundabout marks main pedestrian passage ways to the site which is thought to be main entrance axis to the building. The two designed entry points are associated on a single control point within the building, providing. A single point of security with both entrance and exit being perceived at the maximum of both main arteries. Building mass formed by bounding two smaller pieces, extended masses one on another emphasizes entrance space to the building, at the same time with creating a plaza in front of the mall, it is aimed to boost pedestrian flow on a close perimeter of the mall where there is not much pedestrian traffic. In design process, North and East site boundaries are taken as a reference and the building mass alligned to them, the two seperate masses differentiated with extracting and elevating a virtual rectangular box on a L-Shaped patch.

The contrast of the two masses has been enhanced by using diverse materials, colors and textures on the outer skin also aimed to achieve an elegant mass instead of a bulky building mass which is the main objective, in addition to create a sense of two seperate masses. In this context, while the material of lower leveled mass is exposed conrete as a continuation of the ground coating, the upper leveled mass is covered with bronze colored zinc facade material and the bronze surface is made explicit.
The bronze surface, create irregular and intense scratches on the corner of building skin to make emphasis maximized on the main entrance of the building. Likewise the red light bleed effect that will be created by these scratches at night, creates a specific façade character especially on the dark surface, while becoming landmark of the region. Furthermore, centered green area on this floor continues along the 2nd and 3rd floors which strenghten the vivid circulation inside the building.
