Description
The hotel consists of a lobby mass and room blocks which are connected to lobby with a 45° angle from two sides. The facades are conceived, while the location of blocks are kept in design. In order to meet new needs of the new hotel, the lobby and main restaurant are enlarged. The design is foccused to solve the biggest problem that intersection of service and guests circulation lines of the existing hotel buildings. Conceptual design is constituted by adding the upper room masses, consisting of light and porous rectangular prisms within white color steel frames, on the lower masses covered by natural stone. Aquapark, anphitheatre and kids club zone located on the North side of the plot is considered as an entertainment centre inclusive existing historical cistern which is conceived as an authentic cafe in design. Designing the facades transparent to associate flow of nature towards the inside of spaces is created.
Two different piers are designed on the North and South points of the land besides existing middle one. The pier located on the South side is designed as a boat park including water sport activities in order to welcome guests coming from outside by boats to the beach restaurant. By the design form of the pier creates an axis to connect detached houses, beach restaurant and the hotel centre each other.
Connection of the residence block, where is located on the otherside of the highway, is provided by the means of an existing pedestrian tunnel by crossing under the highway. The circulation between hotel and residences is strengthened by refurbishment of this existing tunnel. Residence block has no possibility to have a sea view, due to it being under level of the highway. By designing the facades of residences as much as transparent it is provided to associate inside and outside spaces relation strongly so it means the flow of nature towards the inside of spaces is created.
